Brian Murphy is a Grammy Award Winning, Internationally acclaimed pianist, composer and arranger who has recorded and performed extensively in Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Japan and the U.S.A. with many of the world’s most renowned Jazz artists.

Brian has created/supervised/recorded many special arrangements for the King of Latin Music, Tito Puente, and was honorably noted, along with Tito, in the Salsa Guidebook by Rebeca Mauleon. Their arrangement of Straight No Chaser is cited as a reference for converting a non-clavé melody into clavé.

LEARNING INSTITUTE

Brian began his latest career choice as a lecturer at the Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Miami in 2013 and he has branched out to Nova Southeastern University and The Palace in Coral Gables and Kendall.
