Brian was an associate of legendary trumpeter & flugelhorn master GUIDO BASSO from 1986 until 1994 as a member of Guido's Quartet, Quintet and Big Band.
We performed at various venues in Ontario including for Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales at The Royal York Hotel and the wedding of the daughter of director, Norman Jewison which featured a performance by Alan Bergman of
"What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?" with lyrics by him and his wife, Marilyn and music by Michel LeGrand!
Brian accompanied Alan for this special performance!
Guido Basso left this earth on February 13, 2023 and now plays for the angels!
He will be greatly missed by all that had the good fortune of having come under his spell and been influenced by his fantastic musicianship along with his enormous heart and great generosity of spirit. I cherish the time we spent together and miss him very much!
